Government Business Enterprise Monitoring and Evaluation Unit


The Government Business Enterprise Monitoring and Evaluation Unit is a sub unit established within the Administration Division of the Finance & Treasury Department under the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management. The function of the unit is more focused on strengthening the Government’s Business Enterprise Sector. This is through the implementation of the New Government Business Enterprise Policy which was approved by the COM on October 17, 2013 and the New Government Business Enterprise Legislation which will be tabled to the parliament before December 31, 2014.

The part and parcel of the unit’s function that will be mandated under the new Enterprise Legislation is the Monitoring and Evaluation of each of the Government Business Enterprises, holding the Unit responsible for ensuring that the enterprises accounts are up to date and their annual financial statements and annual reports are produced on a timely manner with copies tabled to the parliament. The Unit is reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Finance & Treasury Department
